The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified.

3. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Server logs are deleted after 7 days. IP addresses are stored only in shortened form.

4. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). The servers are located in Germany (Falkenstein and Nuremberg data centres). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the provider's servers. This may include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact data, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.

The use of the host is in the interest of secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offer by a professional provider (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the hosting provider. Compliance with the technical and organisational measures pursuant to Art. 32 GDPR is regularly verified by external audits.

5. External links to Etsy, Instagram and TikTok

This website contains links to external platforms, in particular Etsy, Instagram and TikTok. We do not embed any content or tracking pixels from these platforms - no data is transferred to the platforms when you simply visit this website.

Only when you click on an external link do you leave this website. The privacy policies of the respective provider then apply - Etsy Inc. (USA) for the Etsy shop, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Ireland) for Instagram and TikTok Technology Limited (Ireland) for TikTok. We have no influence on the data protection practices of these external providers.

6. Cookies, local storage and web analytics

Cookies and local storage

This website uses neither cookies nor local storage (localStorage, IndexedDB, sessionStorage). No data is written to or read from your device.

Web analytics with Umami

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly open-source web analytics software, for statistical evaluation of website usage (e.g. page views, referrers, approximate region). The Umami instance is self-hosted on servers operated by Ilik & Gökberk GbR (data processor under Art. 28 GDPR).

Umami does not set cookies and does not create user profiles. IP addresses are processed in anonymised form only and are not stored. The data remain on a server hosted in Germany (Hetzner, Nuremberg/Falkenstein location) and are not passed on to third parties.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a statistical analysis of user behaviour for improving our online offering (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

Note on § 25 TTDSG (German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act): Umami neither writes to nor reads from the local storage (cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB) of your device. No consent requirement under § 25 (1) TTDSG arises; processing is limited to the HTTP request headers transmitted during the page load and is evaluated anonymously only.

7. Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

You have the right to object at any time to processing of your data based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). This applies in particular to the web analytics with Umami described in Section 6 and to the server log collection described in Section 3.

An objection is informal and can be sent to datenschutz@cesaraberlin.com. After receipt of an objection, your data will no longer be processed for those purposes unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing.

8. Fonts

This website uses locally hosted fonts via @fontsource. There is NO connection to Google Fonts or external CDNs. As a result, no personal data is transmitted to third parties.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Receive information about your data stored with us (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Request correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Request deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Request data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
